SOUND DISAPPEAR AFTER RESTART

1. Download devcon utilities. link below

2. Open a notepad and paste the following line,and name the notepad as audiopatch.bat, save the file at c:\patch\ with the name audiopatch.bat. (if the directory c:\patch don't exist create one. The Hardware ID may differ (i never study about the differences between ID) this is commonly what i found. Paste the code


DEVCON.EXE RESTART “PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E&SUBSYS_3607103C&REV_03″


To manually check your hardware ID follow this Guide:

a) Open device manager by click start, select run and type: DVMGMT.MSC

b) Right click at your audio drivers and select properties like the picture below.

c)then select details.

d) Select Hardware ID by expanding the Device description Drop down menu.

e)Then here you found your hardware ID which circle in red as shown in pic below. (The ID below is for my Desktop, REALTEK Audio so it difference with your ID). right click on it san select copy then paste it as note

3. Then extract file devcon.exe, copy \i386\devcon.exe to the c:\patch\ (in the folder where you save the audiopatch.bat).

4.Now, there are two options here, the simple steps is to right click on the audio patch, send to, desktop, whenever you start your computer double click on it, the sound should work.

----Ok this is a little advance options, the advantage is you do not have to create a shorcut and double click the bat files, just like the audio totally installed.-----


1. click start select run and type regedit.


2. find this value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

expand it by click the + icon

3. click on the run, on the right panel click anywhere and select new - string value( anew string value will appear normally with name new value#1.)


4. right click on the new string you create and rename as audiopatch.
5.double click on it and on the value data write c:\patch\audiopatch.bat

DONE.

I am using Compaq Presario CQ41-110AU and Windows 7, but I have no idea whether any drivers already installed or not :(
because I asked my friend to re-install my laptop.
How to find out what drivers have not been installed yet? and I also need MS Office for Win 7, how to install it?

This guide will show you how to check your computer device driver so that you can identify which driver you need to install. This guide apply for windows XP, Vista and 7.

1. First we use device manager to check our devices. To open device manager click start and on the search box type DEVMGMT.MSC

2. Then a device manager will open. There you will see list of devices of your computer.

a) A computer with all the drivers installed will show no yellow mark in the device manager

b) while the computer with incomplete driver will show yellow mark. But for your graphic (Display), it will show Video controller with yellow mark or under the display adapters it will show Standard VGA Graphic adapters.

3. So now you can identify weather your computer driver is missing driver or not. So the problems is how to get the right Driver.

a) If you know yor computer model say Lenovo Ideapad s10, so just type "Lenovo Support" on google and enter the support site. So browse for your driver there.

b) If it appear that you didn't know what is your model. You can get the hardware ID for the devices and search the hardware ID on google.

c) Lastly, You can request your driver here in Request section.

HP Compaq nx9040 Windows 7 Drivers

HP Compaq nx9040 release with windows XP, For model like this to work with windows 7,  the problems would be the graphic and audio because it uses Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller Driver and Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio Driver. So here is my initial suggestion for the Drivers:
